The Association of American Gadget Manufacturers (AAGM) has created a privately

use as their main presence on the web. They have customized their VizSpace with
marketing material, uploaded drawings of their products (which are available for
purchase online with the VizSpace Product Listing widget), and they have listed
their manufacturing capabilities. As they add new shop floor equipment and personnel
in the coming year, they can update their list of capabilities to remain current
and searchable.
AAGM has also added the VizOpps app to AAGM-Connect. With the VizOpps app, VizSpace
sends AAGM-Connect members manufacturing opportunities that VizOpps downloads daily
from public or private opportunity sites (as well as opportunities posted directly
in VizSpace), matching those solicitations to AAGM members’ specific manufacturing
capabilities. Companies like Gadget Supply Inc. receive only opportunities appropriate
for them in their inbox each morning, which keeps them actively engaged with AAGM
every day.
How do OEMs and other buyers use AAGM-Connect?
When OEMs or buyers are looking for a gadget manufacturer, they use AAGM-Connect
to search using a wide range of criteria, including:
- Shape Search – the buyer can upload a drawing, image, or model to locate suppliers
who have manufactured similar shapes in the past.
- Manufacturing process capabilities, such as gun drilling, investment casting, etc.
- Specific manufacturer classifications or characteristics, including NAICS codes,
CAGE codes, set-aside designations, quality certifications, and location
AAGM-Connect is particularly useful when a buyer has a hard-to-source part. The
buyer simply uploads a drawing, image, or sketch of the part to AAGM-Connect, clicks
Search, and a list of all suppliers within the focused community of interest who
have produced similar shapes appears.
