There are two types of communities in VizSeek,
private and public.
Public communities are open and allow anyone to search their VizSpace or
join as a member. Some public communities may require you to register prior to performing
specific actions, such as downloading a file or part file or viewing detailed information
of a search result. You may go to individual public communities and conduct searches
or use the HotSpot VizSpace to search all public VizSpace communities. You may also
send a request to the VizSpace owner to join as a contributing member or a partner,
so information from your VizSpace is searchable in their community. The acceptance
rules differ from one community to another.
Private communities are closed and only allow their registered members access
to their VizSpace. You must be invited to be a member of a private community;
however, you may send a request to join a private VizSpace. The acceptance rules
differ from community to community.
