January 26, 2005  |  Imaginestics to increase casting suppliers value

Purdue Research Park, West Lafayette, Indiana, U.S.A - Imaginestics, the software developer of the Knowledge Reuse Management (KRM) system, announced today that it has been selected by American Foundry Society (AFS) to integrate its Casting Source Directory into the ToolingNet portal. The Casting Source Directory is comprehensive, reliable information about cast metals and alloys, casting processes and virtually every metalcasting company in North America. The integration of the Casting Source Directory with the ToolingNet Portal will enable engineers and buyers of castings to easily locate casting suppliers online. Imaginestics will also allow engineers using i-advisor on their desktops to directly locate the casting suppliers through a seamlessly integrated search into the Casting Source Directory.

"We are excited about this partnership with AFS and in helping to increase the value of casting suppliers through our technology", said Nainesh Rathod, Imaginestics, President & CEO. "Our research work in the casting domain with the help of ToolingNet grant and development of our i-advisor product allowed us to be well positioned to be selected"

"The Casting Source Directory is the Yellow Pages for designers and buyers of metal castings," said Alfred Spada, American Foundry Society. "By combining it with the ToolingNet portal and i-advisor, the Directory becomes an interactive tool that will allow OEMs to narrow their searches for casting suppliers based on casting design and manufacturability criteria as well as metal and manufacturing process. This combination will be an unparalleled tool for design engineers and buyers."
