AMAS (Additive Manufacturing Advisory System)

AMAS is the next generation Manufacturing Resource Planner (MRP III). Engineering teams involved in 3D printing, also known as Additive Manufacturing (AM), use this one software system to manage:

  • Projects

  • Machines
  • Materials
  • Jobs
to create an efficient AM production flow.

With built-in flexible templates, it’s easy to enter data such as fluid and static machine information, material records, and part information. This means that once you make a part on your AM equipment, everyone in your organization knows exactly how to repeat that process.

The information is linked and stored in a centralized database, accessed by pre-defined user roles. Documentation, certificates, lab files, etc. can be attached to these records.

AMAS uses visual search technology, which can be used to search and compare lab images such as grain size and microstructure. In addition, visual search can also be used to search through historical digital assets to find relevant tooling, part designs, previous quotes, and procurement data.

AMAS is the working name for this system, now in final development for the US Air Force. It is scheduled to be market-ready in June 2020, as AMAS or under another brand name.
